hi
just wondered what u think.
tank 48l x 15 w x 18h with 2215 eheim. heavy stocked tank. 2 plants only.
water quality good but can always be better.

filter now 10 years old ish but works well.
dont mind reasonable water movement but not silly fast.

do u think i will gain by going for a larger eheim filter??
whats flow rate should i have.

If the quality is "good" it aint gonna get any better !!! Unless you plan on upping stocks dramatically, I would look elsewhere for a new toy !

Larger filters do NOT filter "more" they simply have a larger capacity.... they can process more, errr, waste in a quicker time - yours sounds fine.

If you have detritus on the bottom, just get a powerhead to kick it up so the filter can catch it. The larger filter wont help your stats, but it will allow you to add more bioload. It also means that it wont get clogged as quickly.
