Hi,
i have been wanting to start a subtropical tank for a while now but my only problem was my bronze corys, after getting mixed feedback on this forum i thought i would try it and see how they coped with it.
After keeping them at 20C for 2 weeks i would not advise keeping bronze corys in these temperatures. Their metabolism really slowed down they were immobile for large amounts of time, they are usually quite active. They didn't eat too much but still did. One of my younger corys ripped the bottom of his tail fin (not major he was acting normal) but in these low temperatures it was back to normal in 2-3 days, never had a injured cory before so not sure if this has improved his healing time.
I have now put the temp up to 22C they are back to normal and very active.
Hope this helps.
Lloyd
