Cory's gills are bright pink

my bronze cory's gills are bright pink, is he ok? my other cory is fine but in a different tank.

i tested the water

ammonnia zero
nitrite zero
nitrate .5
ph 7.6

should i be worried? i did add melafix 2 days ago could this be why?

You’re ph is to high for corries and possibly water to hard.

He's fine today thanks he's riding in the current of my filter. I think he's a male as he is thinner than the 1 i have upstairs which is huge about 2 inches long and and 1.5 thick.

bigfish you should get some more cories because cories are happest when they are in pairs or groups
