I have 2 pandas (for now!) that are in a cycled tank with a couple of bettas. One of the bettas in this tank has been showing signs of bacterial finrot, as has one of my other bettas in a different tank. I am currently treating the lone betta with daily water changes and aquarium salt at 1 teaspoon per 5 litres. This strength of salt is fine for bettas who are known for being fairly salt intolerant, but can the corys withstand this too? Or is any trace of salt a no no in their case?

ive used salt sparingly with cories in the tank, so under dosage but they've never seemed to mind, dont use it oftern though have heard they dont like it too much.

Don't use salt with corydora. You should just treat your betta in a Q tank. If nothing else, switch the bettas between the tanks if the chemistries are the same or very similar.

Salt in a no-no where cories are concerned, they don't tolerate it at all well.

Salt is off then. Thank you :) should the corys pick up any fin rot issues, what treatment should I use?

No salt for my cories. I actually never put salt in my tanks, unless they're Salt water or Brackish tanks. Just my preference not to (tough on the plants also.) If they get Fin Rot, treat with an antibiotic in a hospital tank. I can't remember treating cories for anything, they seem pretty tough in my tanks.
