Corys And Medication

I hope someone can help with this
I want to add some fin rot/fungus treatment to a tank as one of my hatchet fish has some blurry patches on his tail, but i keep seeing mention of catfish and loaches etc. not being able to cope so well with these type of treatments. I have one cory in the tank (I know there should be more but he was the last one at the lfs so I thought he might as well be lonely in my tank as theirs until I can find some elsewhere. I think he is a leopard but not sure). Should I try half strength?

the catfish that are being refered to are not cories.
most cories are ok with, most, meds.
wghat are you planning to treat with?

It sounds like your fish has a bacterial infection and if so, corys are particularly apt to get it too if the underlying conditions are not changed.

I had already read inchworm's useful response to another fungus question.
I was planning to use interpet 8 anti fungus and finrot. The tank conditions that the hatchet fish was in are all fine although 1 of the 3 hatchet fish does tend to chase the other 2 around so he could have been stressed by that. I have moved him to a smaller tank for treatment that I have for quaranteen and the cory is still in there awaiting some tank mates. I have only got the two tanks at the moment so no dedicated hospital tank.
