since owning my discus my tank temp has been too high for my gold and green stripe corys, so i thought......
i am a member of a discus forum and alot of the members are saying that they keep gold stripe corys in with their discus! and they are doing great.....!
discus tanks mostly are kept at 30C and i thought sterbai were one of the only commonly available corys that can tolerate this temp, but it seems people are keeping lots of different species of cory in with discus with no ill effects...

as a few of you will know i am looking to find a way of keeping my corys when i have to close their tank down but didnt think the discus tank was an option. is it?

wont the corys struggle at these high temps?

Hey hon, if this is at all possible that would be fab news. But I can only give advise from what I have read, here is hoping some of the experts can help with this, it would be great if you can :good:

Hi Amy,
i would have personally said dont do it as it will be too hot but others have these corys at this temp with no probs.

i think i know what the answers will be and of course i only want whats best for the corys.....

it would be excellent news though if i can keep them :hyper:

I'm no expert, but i read it shortens their life span if the temp is too high... i may be wrong though...
