when my tank has settled (fish in cycling due to bad bad but improving knowledge) i want to get some corys to go in with my betta. will that be cool?

and what kind of corys are peoples favourites?

ive just been googling bronze corys, and from what I can see..

well,

theyre not bronze! is this correct?

What size tank do you have? You could get pygmy corys if you have a smallish tank. If not you could go with the common corys (pepper, bronze, albino) To answer your question about the betta. It depends on the personality of the betta. They should be fine together. Just keep an eye out

Jollysue can attest to 'keep an eye out'. I personally would never mix the 2; I don't trust bettas.

As for you question, no, bronze Corys are not bronze coloured, they are greenish; an oxidized bronze maybe?
