Corydoras

adolphi corys are also really cute!! bit like pandas but with an orange stripe near their eyes! so much choice but all corys have great characters so its really a case of what you like the look of!! glad you changed the gravel for sand...they'll appreciate it. it is also very interesting to watch them filtering the sand through their gills!! feed them fresh or frozen blood worms once in a while too and you will have super happy corys!! (nb there is not a huge amount of nutritional value in the worms so don't feed them these all the time!) let us know what you decide on!!

L. :D

ps sterbai are good with 30 degree temperatures...i used to keep them with discus. not sure about adolphi's..i have only kept them in a tank with a temperature of 25. you could look it up though...
+1!

I have seven C. adolfoi and they're my favourites, but I also have eight CW021 and six pandas.

Yep i agree with adolfi's - super cute  i nearly bought some a few weeks ago,but their barbels were stumps at MA,and with a price tag of £15 each,i didn't want to take a chance...

Aww, poor things :( They are pricey; I paid £50 for my six (I did get an extra one for free 'cos it was the last one though!)

yes i think, if i recall correctly, my LFS had them priced at something like £12.50 ea. but can't say i paid that much attention at the time as i was too busy running around the shop like a kid in a candy store buying bits and pieces to start the tank up and going 'oooh look at that, oooh look at this'

that's well cool fluttermoth .. 7 adolfoi and 6 pandas - bet they look FAB together :good:

need to get my tank fully cycled and the ich wiped out before i can adopt anymore fish but like to know in advance what i'm going out for :D

I've got 11 panda cories... 5 adults and 6 juvies. I love them, but wish they would come out into the open a bit more. :/

From the research I've done, Corydoras Seussi, C. Imitator, C. Pinheiroi, C. Actus, C. Sterabai, C. Amapaensis, C. Leucomelas and C. Oiapoquensis all like warmer water.

I have 7 Pygmy Corys who I love very much. They don't love me anymore though :(

Thanks Erik! Quite like the Oiapoquensis but think I may still stay with the Adolfoi

Oh dear -- I take it you don't see much of the Pygmy's then?

i have

1 Sterbai
2 Trilli
5 Pygmy

My numbers have gone down in the past few weeks as i have been loosing my oldies, hoping to get them back up soon, i hate seeing less than 6 of each

I have 6 metae - i found them quite shy compared to the rest of my corys... cute though :)

I don't have the pandas and the Adolfoi together; the Adolfoi live with the CW021s, who I was worried might hybridise with the pandas
The pandas are on their own (well, with some silvertip tetras and a clown plec).

No, they hide from me. I know it's me because if I sit still and quietly on the other side of the room I see them come out after about 5 mins. I think they think I'm evil  . Not sure why, they didn't when I first had them.

My panda cory are the exact same, i've gotta move upto the tank like a stealthed ninja to get a good look at them.
ANY sudden movements and they're back under abit of wood
