I need help to choose which type of corydoras is the easiest to keep?
I have fine gravel and leopard danios in my aquarium.

Cheers

I've heard most Cory's are easy to keep, inparticular the Bandit's and Bronze Cory's. Nice Fish Too :good:

James.

I think all corydoras are lovely fish they all have similar requirments its just up to you which colours you like :).

Bronze or emerald (green) seem easiest to me-peppered seem a little bit frailer.

Most corys are easy to keep, has long has you've got good water conditions with no ammonia/nitrite showing they'll do fine :)

Corys are best kept over sand due to their barbels. Gravel is not only abrasive but it harbors bacterias that may cause infections to the barbels. They also sieve sand which they could not do with gravel.

That's not to say that you cannot keep them over gravel but they would be far happier over sand

Hi random :)

Fine gravel is OK as long as you keep it clean. It's usually when uneaten food accumulates that problems start. As far as choosing a cory species, a prime consideration is the water temperature you plan to keep them at. Some need cooler water than others.

Trilineatus are common (usually called julii... probably this species though) but they are cute. I have six that are like little tanks. One has survived two cycles, rough gravel, and a melafix od  but he's still swimming right side up. The other 5 also survived the od... but they are doing good now
