 What a gorgeous little cory. Such a sweet little face. How many do you have??

:D

wow - that is one beautiful photo as well as fish ! :hey:

no spawning yet as i think they may still be a little young, but not too far off. but eventually i am sure they will spawn for me as the others have. i have heard they are as easy to spawn as pandas, so that shouldn't be too hard

I havent see much of anything on them spawning. So I thought they may be hard to get to spawn.

Hi madattiver :)

Your C. weitzmani are beautiful fish, and you are indeed fortunate to have so many. :flowers:

I only have three of them, but will buy more when I get the opportunity. They have spawned twice for me, but I haven't had any success with hatching the eggs yet.

The first time they spawned was shortly after I got them and, since they were sick and run down, the eggs were defective. They weren't even shaped right and were hard. The second time was just a couple of weeks ago. I found about 28 eggs with a few on the glass and more on the leaves of one of the plants. By the time I saw them and got them out and into a container with an airstone, it was too late. They all got fungus. The corys have been quite active since then and I wonder if they are spawning and eating the eggs before I see them.

It seems funny, but in just a little over a year, these beauties have gone from being something exotic and rare and mysterious, to fish that are being talked about as one that can be easily bred by home aquarists. :D

Inchworm.. do you have any floating spawning mops in the tank??? i heard they like to use them for spawning and within the mop the eggs are usually safe from the corys eating them.

congrats on the spawns too.. that is awesome
