Congrats :D
Normally after about 3-4 days you should start feeding. Good to hear you have a microworm culture going. The best way to remove them is to wipe the worms off the side of the container that have climbed up to breed. If you take from the mix itself, you might contaminate the tank. I then put what I've collected (I use my finger, some people use small paintbrushes, but my kids would just get them confused with theirs, so fingers are also ok) into a little plastic cup with a bit of water from the tank to wash them off. Then I suck them up with a turkey baster and let them settle at the bottom and inject them into the tank. Since you have 5 eggs, you only need very little. About 3-4 times a day is good. They love the microworms and even if they seem to be all over the tank, they sink so the fry are able to get them :p Good luck and keep us posted

The fry will absorb the egg sack for the first 24 hours and after that they will need to be fed. You can feed them liquid fry or something similiar. I fed mine that Hikari First Bites and they seemed to like it. The liquid fry is very messy, so I only used it for the first 1-2 days and then started on the mircoworms. I used a popsickle stick to scrape the worms off the side of the container and put into the tank. Make sure to get any uneaten food out of the tank and keep up with the water changes.

Good Luck

I found some mini sized bowl scrapers at the dollar store that get them off the sides of the container very well. I think they use them to ice cupcakes or small things like that. :D

cheers for the replys, the eggs are dark and should hatch soon. Ill check in the morning when i get up.

The 5 eggs hatched yesterday and all are swimming around this morning.
im going to give them their 1st feed now.

So i need to do 50 % water changes daily, and need to feed them 3 -4 times daily to bring them on.

Congrats aim! :)

What do the fry look like? I've got about 300 bronze cory eggs waiting to hatch! How long did it take for your sterbai eggs to hatch?

Good luck with it!

There a light gray/ white colour with a round ball at the front end. I can see a few dark/black spots which i suppose are the eyes. I think the round ball part is the head/ egg sack i think.
The eggs took quite long to hatch 4-5 days with every day getting slightly darker with a hint of olive colour instead of my usual white ,which my albino cory eggs keep turning!

Ive got lots of fish breeding at the mo with no luck of hatching / raising the fry, so this is a big step for me. Yaay!!!!

Ive six sterbai being kept with 5 breeding rainbows. I read that the hormones being released by the breeding rainbows might spur on my sterbai, which seems to be working. Ive only had the sterbai for 2-3 weeks.
Ive made 2 spawning mops for the rainbows which they seem to be using daily and then the corys dart up in to the mop and dissapeer for ages until all the eggs have been found and munched. The 6 eggs were placed on the glass behind the mops. lol
Ill keep you updated.

Congrats on the babies :D  I am very jealous, we are breeding the bronze corys, on our 8th batch, but I am desparate for the Sterbai and Pandas to breed. Great news and we hope that all goes well
