Corydoras Melanistius

Hi Barracuda518 :)

Congratulations on your new corys! Aren't corys addictive?

Can you post some pictures of them?

Hey Inchworm,

I will try too. I have another problem now. I went to a Local Fish Store and not a chain and found some more cories. I found some Corydoras arcuatus. I really want them, but Im worried about my stocking levels. They will go in the 55 gallon, do you think I have room?

Hi Barracuda518 :)

Skunk corys are among my favorites!

You might already have seen this picture of them with my black C. aeneus:

I think that you might have to do some shifting around, and get that other 55 gallon up and running sooner than you planned, but I think you will love them as much as I do. It would be a shame to pass them up. :D

Have you had any problems with them? Are they very sensitive? I might have to move my 3 Dojo Loaches out to make room for them! I have been looking all over the skunk cories, so I can't pass them up

Hi Barracuda518 :)

Actually, they have a delicate sort of look about them, but are no more trouble to keep than any other cory. I've had them in one of the big cory communities, with the black corys, and now that the blacks are in a spawning tank, they have the C 102s as tankmates. :D

Well I could not stand it and I went and got 6 of them. They were only $2.99 a piece. Now I have to move my Dojo's. I have one thats already at 5" :S I will just put them in the other 55 gallon once its ready to go.

The skunk cories are awesome and they hard quite hard to find around here, so I could not pass it up. They are kinda small, which is better, so I can make sure they have all the nutrition they need to make them grow big and strong
