I was doing my weekly water changes today as usual, and as I was siphoning the gravel when one of my generally unassuming cories zipped up, tapped me on the hand with its nose, and immediately zoomed back down again to ignore for the rest of the time. Odd, seeing as not even my marigold sword has ever done anything of the sort, and she's the boldest fish in the tank. Of course, the cories seem to be the only fish that really couldn't seem to care less about my little intrusions into their tank. Sometimes when I'm siphoning, I actually have to sort of push them out of the way of the siphon.
Idle speculation, I know, but I can't help but wonder what the motives were behind that little gesture when the cories usually pay no attention to me whatsoever. Just wondering, but does anyone else's cories ever act like that? Any guesses as to why mine might?
