I have a group of 4 juvi Agassizii's arriving on Friday along with a few other fish to join my community.

Am so excited this is the 2nd speicies of cory i have kept (1st was pandas and had no look :( )

Any general info would be a great help, want to get things right this time round :good:

Corys prefer sand but gravel is OK.
They need to be feed tablets and the water should ideally be around 22 degree and slightly acidic.
And dont place them with fin nippers or aggressive fish.
Ive always found corys the easiest fish to keep :D

Got sand substate so no problem there, also got some catfish pellets ready for them, temp is sat at 26 will that be a problem for them?
there other tankmates are pencilfish, swordtails and a young pair of rams.
Never really kept them always had plecos so need all the help i can get

26 is a bit on the warm side but I think they will be fine

Hi lilfishie :)

I'm happy to see you are getting more corys. With a little luck you will do well with them.

Here's a link to the PlanetCatfish page on C. agassiziis. This is one of the corys that is easily confused with some of the others so compare yours carefully.

The tank you plan to add them to is at the top of their temperature range and keeping them with rams is not the best idea. I see in your profile that you have an empty 15 gallon tank. Is there any chance you can make that their home instead?

Will get some pictures when they arrive and get a comfirmatiion on there ID.

the breeder i am getting them off keeps them at 26 degrees so thats why i assumed they would be ok, same as he does with the rams.

Unfortunately the empty 15 is sat in the shed as i have no space for it
