While I have kept cories for years, first time I see them doing this:

Neat?

Yes, wafers and bloodworms too. And they still check for "surface" food even when I don't feed flakes.

In this case they are awsome then, one of my cories feed that way last night, but it was cause they put the wafer behind a plant and the only way he finds to eat it was upside down.

Cories are the funniest fish i've ever had.

Maybe its got sore whiskers from the gravel on the bottom so has decided to opt for an easier upside down life :>

Why does it say Cory (B.Splendens) ?? Does the corydora think it's a Betta?

But he really wants that flake.

one of my corys is always at the top (not upsidedown tho)

are those emerald catfish??

love it noticed two others came for some flake too, cuuuuute
hehe.gif

Yes, Brochis splendens aka Emerald Cory.

I've seen Corydoras taking food from the surface, and even searching the surface for food (C.agassizi seem the most interested in such activities among the cories I have), but no "real" cory approached these chaps...

They are even more pathological now... when then know that feeding is approaching, they start the upside-down swimming. :D
