So all my cories start sleeping near noon and are very not active.

They could have jet lag depending on how long you have had them.

They might be up all night and having parties, which is quite normal for catfish.

They might be having a midday siesta.

it is really really hot here in the summer
even with the air con and the bubbles full blast
it is probably hotter at noon so they might want to cooldown a bit

This wasn't a joke. Fish and other animals suffer from jet lag and if they were recently imported from the other side of the world, they will need time to adjust their sleep pattern. And fish do have midday naps.

We all know what happens when the tank lights go out, when the catfish is away, the cories will play (that's a joke) :)

Indeed a bit high for Peppers but they'll be okay if temporary. What are you feeding ?
