Cory question...

If two genres of corys are in the same tank will they interbreed? I'm asking because I'm considering moving all my corys to my top tank...

Hi ddreams, I see from your sig that you have 2 C.Paleatus and 4 C.Aeneus. If each have other members of their species, then they should just spawn inside the species boundaries. I have never seen cross species spawning, but have found several referances to it on the nternet. Hope this helps!

I actually have 4 of each, but I don't want them to spawn and mix breeds because my LFS is willing to take the young..

I doubt that you have anything to worry about. The chances of any corys interbreeding are slim. Beside, when the time comes to actually let them spawn, you will probably want to move them to a small tank by themselves. That way, you can remove the adults and leave the eggs to hatch and the fry be raised there.
