I got a new 40 gal. tank. I have it set up and cycling.

I am thinking about what I am going to put in this tank, and I decided on a simple comunity tank.

I am going to get more corys. I really like peppers, bronze and albino corys. I am wondering, do you thing its okay to have them all in the same tank? To specify this... I know they would all get along.. but I have always had one kind in the tank at a time, in a group of about six. If I get different kinds, I can only get 2 or 3 of each kind. Meaning they won't have their bigger groups, atleast within their same kind.

I am thinking I can get maybe 8 or 9 without any problems.

I am sure they will be fine, but my expirence with corys is pretty limited. I have had them for several years, but when it comes to mixing them.. I am clueless.

You would always be better getting a larger group of each species (4+ at least), the albino and the bronze may well group together ... the peppered i doubt, but if you was to get 9 how about 12 instead and make 4 of each kind?

That would probably work. I am trying to not over stock my tank, but I don't see how 3 more would do much harm.

Thank you

:)

Well I have decided to just get bronze and peppers. I am thinking 4 or 5 of each. I really want to keep the fish in this tank limited, as I tend to get more fish than my tank really needs.

Albino's are my least favorite, so I will stick with the peppers and bronze. Do you think that will work?
