So heres the story, i have 9 Panda Corys , all doing great always active shoaling together and getting up to mischief...they will even 'push' the Rams out of the way of pellets

i noticed a few plants being shredded at the stems...its not snails as i don't have any, its not cardinals or the Rams
haha, one cory caught in the act of shredding (well probably sucking) one of my plant stems so much the stem fell over!

so do they need more algae wafers?

As far as im aware they dont primarily eat algae...try something else, i use a worm based pellet and a bloodworm based sinking crumb. Try to vary the diet as much as you can. Live and frozen foods are great.

Hi Gelt :)

It's probably not the cory causing you to have a problem with your plants. While they might get active and knock a plant over, they do not usually chew them. It's more likely that they plant is dying from some other problem (not enough light, snails, etc.) and the corys just happened to be investigating it. Are they getting enough food to eat?

It is the cory watched him for about 15 mins shred the stem of the plant! Until it broke and floated off in the current, yes my corys get enough to eat , I give them catfish pellets and they also get bloodworm and mop up the flake from the cardinals.
