Cory Id Needed

This is probably not the best photo but can anyone give me an ID on this little chap? He was supposed to be a puctatus.

It's hard to tell by the photo but yeah, it does look like a female corydoras punctatus. Check out the pic of the female on the top of this link:

edit: If there is a dark spot of the dorsal (can't see in the pic) then it could be c.reticulatus

you need a keen eye to ID cories, I'm still practicing!

It's not punctatus because punctatus has dark spots where as the fish is the picture has fainter "squiggles". It is sodalis because they have the same lines on the body and there is no dark spot on the dorsal as far as I can see, so it wouldn't be reticulatus either.

I'm still practicing too. There's a good book, Breeding Corydoras. I'm just beginning the book, but he is going through each species and explaining the differences and how to tell which sex is which.

I got 3x Cories yesterday labelled up as C.Palaetus but found out today they are actually Corydoras sodalis..look very similar to yours... There great arent they?

Thanks, folks. I think the sodalis looks like the one. The fish doesn't have a black dorsal fin like the picture of the puctatus.

Definitely not a sterbai as I have 4 of those as well. I'm sticking with the sodalis.
