My cory fry will be 2 weeks old tuesday. I can finally see the little beggers even though they look more like tadpoles than fish. I had originally miscounted or more eggs hatched because there are now over 20 of the little wrigglers. They take after their mom mostly and seem to be albino except for 2 that have what looks like saddles on their backs. (Dad is a bronze). Will try to get pics when I can find the darn camera my son "borrowed". I would like to know when to switch from liquifry to powdered food. If anyone can tell me I'd appreciate it.

Aw cutey! We tried breeding our bronze/albino corys but the eggs never hatched. Now we just let our betta Steve eat them for breakfast. :S

Can't wait to see pics. I loves baby fishies!

Well, we looked in our nano tank today which has just three albino corries for the moment and we have a load of eggs. Dunno if any will hatch though :good:

Well we collected about 60 eggs and I've seen a few tiny little things have hatched from them. you can barely see them!!!!

Congrats on the hatching Donkster . Tell me bout it. For almost a week I thought the family were playing a trick on me and I was feeding an empty net. The albino's coloring makes them even harder to spot.

Well about 35 seem to have hatched and they are micro! I can see that they are starting to grow little side fins. There are some eggs which clearly haven't hatched - what I don't know is how much longer to leave these if they're going to hatch still or not, or if I should just take them out now.

The other thing is what and how best to feed! I'm only used to getting livebearer fry. Cory fry is all new to me.

same way really :) Microworms and powdered food. If you go the food rout, soak it first so it sinks faster :) I also defrost frozen foods in boiled water - just enough to make food mush, them mush it more and add more water, feed with pipet :) If your in the UK I can send you some microworms for a starter kit :)

Well they've laid eggs three times since the first batch

They're all alive still and I think they're growing.

If you could send me some microworms that would be great! I do live in the UK - Essex.

good good, PM me and remind me and I'll post some out to you :)

Wish my corys would lay eggs, think they are sulking as Im out of tubiflex and its not pay day yet lol!

ive got two questions:

1. How big do the cories haves to be before sexual maturity?
2. How do you remove the eggs from the tank?

1. an inch or so
2. leave them for an hour or two to harden, then roll off with finger, or use sharp razor to gently remove them (I use a razor with a cup under them to catch the eggs if they don't stay on the razor
