She seems to be living a pretty good life with Ed and Emily, and is also used in Emily's educational programme for kids, in person as well as on the youtube channel, hopefully helping prevent future generations from thoughtlessly buying a cute baby alligator.

As it is, she appears to be a great deal healthier than she was, you don't know the size of enclosure they're building for her, and there are very limited options for where she can go. She can't return to the wild, can't live with other gators, which rules out other gator rescues, she didn't even get along with another stunted gator they tried introducing to her. So not sure what else you expect them to do for her.

Well, she is doing the best she can. But videos like that encourage other people to get (most of the time illegally) wild pets like that.

She's certainly raised a lot of awareness for now they're not suitable as pets, since it can stunt their growth, they get way too large to house, and not easy to care for.

It's not a video about how great and easy they are as pets and that everyone should get one. But if you're judging without having watched any of their videos about how they wound up with Rexy, then I'm not surprised that you'd think that. I'd like to think that most people actually watch before they judge, and have more sense than to run out and buy a baby gator, or steal it from the wild, without considering the animal's lifespan.

Even still, that’s not enough room for them.

That’s why I feel sad for these sharks and groupers and such you see at the Georgia Aquarium. It’s super cool to see them that close, but that’s not even near enough room for them.

Since you haven't seen the videos, you're really not in a place to judge that it isn't good enough, and that they're doing something wrong and encouraging people to buy an unsuitable pet like an alligator. If you can't even view them, then perhaps don't judge.

Anyway, we've taken @Deanasue's thread off topic enough now, and I saw you didn't like it when people go off topic in your own threads, telling people talking about assassin snails in your thread to take it elsewhere. So lets drop it.

Sorry, @Deanasue ! Glad your pupper is home safe, and that none of you were gator food! I worry like a mother hen over my dog as it is, I can't imagine how it is where there are snakes and gators around! Crossing fingers for your fry too, enjoy the rest of your trip!

On our way home. Told hubbie we had to hurry this morning so I could check the fry. He actually understood, such a sweetie! My son did go by and feed them about Noon yesterday for me (First Bites). They were OK then. Fingers crossed.
