How big are bronze/albino cories when they begin to spawn? I have some that are around 1-1.5" and I dont know how old they are.

Hi Barracuda518 :)

Your corys are probably just a little too young to spawn. C. aeneus are large cory and although bronze and albino corys often spawn fairly young, yours might just need to grow up for a few month more. When they do spawn young, their batches are smaller so it's best for you and them both to wait.

If you feed them a good diet, rich in live blackworms and other good food, they will grow up strong and able to produce many eggs and fry for you. I'll be looking forward to reading your posts when this finally happens. :D

Well thats good then. Im not ready for them to spawn. I gotta get a tank for them. What is the best thing to feed them other then what you said? Ive been feeding them those Hikari Sinking Pellots, but Im afraid its not enough because they take so long to dissolve. I also feed them algea waffers and what ever flake food makes it to the bottom. My danios and yoyo loaches eat anything that floats on the water. How often do you feed your cories? They are growing, but im worried they arent getting enough nutrition.

Thanks B)

EDIT: Grammer

Hi Barracuda518 :)

Corys need a diet that has a good amount of protein in it. The Hikari brand wafers for bottom feeders is a good staple for them, and you could also supplement it with freeze dried tubifex worms. Frozen bloodworms are good, but they tend to spoil quickly and any that are left uneaten can cause disease.

To feed them the freeze dried tubifex, hold a cube or part of one under the water. Gradually rub it between your fingers and the worms will separate and float to the bottom. There will be plenty for all your fish to eat on the way down. :D

Should I feed them everyday or every other day?

I have been feeding them every other day for a while.

Hi Barracuda518 :)

I would feed them every day. They are growing teenagers, after all.

Just feed them small portions and make sure you don't overfeed so that leftovers go bad. :D

Ok thanks.

Overfeeding wont be a problem, the yoyo's and porthole catfish all eat the same things they eat. The yoyo's are growing and look very healthy, so Im not worried about them..

Thanks
