Slowing setting up a new tank. the g/f purchased a pair of Kribs. I wanted to stick 4 Albino Corys (after quarantine) into the tank. The male Krib started chasing the heck out of the first Cory. Mind you, this is a 125 gallon, so I figured there will be plenty of room for both bottom dweller types. Based on th books I have, the pH range is fine for both.

I simply think the Cory(s) was/were too small for the more agressive fish the Africans can tend to be. My question here is what type of fish should I consider that does a great clean-up job like the Cories, yet will not be bullied by the Kribs?

hoplo catfish or flagtailed catfish would work, both are in the fish index.

Kribs and Cories! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :shout:

Synos or loaches would also do, I believe. But check in the appropriate forums first.

Cories are never to be kept with aggressive Cichlids and certainly not any Africans. The only Cichlid I would let near a Cory is an appistogamma. Cories are very shy, defensless and know nothing of territories. They should not be kept with aggressive territorial fish.

Are Kribs a soft water fish? Cories do not do well in hard water.
