Hi,

I can see a fair few eggs in my tank and guess they are from the Cory's I have.
Should I remove the eggs ASAP? what should I put them in? Should I buy a floating breeding pot?

Some are on my bogwood and some are on plant leaves, how do I remove them without causing any damage?

Have a read of the threads on this forum for information, its packed full of useful tips.

some say to leave them for 15-20 mins for them to harden up then remove them- otherwise they will most likely get eaten.

You can try recmoving them with a gental finger, but some people do it with a credit card- or any card like that- and gently place them in there new tank

congrats :good:

Make sure you have good air flow around the eggs to stop any fungas on them :good: air stone is good for this.

Have a read here,very useful info :) http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?/topic/165155-the-breeding-of-corydoras-catfish/

Thanks for the advice,

The eggs that I can see look white, but I am 99% sure they were laid last night because they were not there yesterday. I am hoping they are from my sterbai's.
I cant get hold of a small float breeding tank till tomorrow so hopefully they wont be eaten before then. (fingers crossed)

I have lost a few Cardinal Tetras in the last few days so this has cheered me up a little.

You can use an ice cream tub, doesnt have to be a floating thing, most fry will happily hatch out without a heater too so no need to worry about that either.

The problem comes when you start to feed them, food can cause ammonia to spike up sky high very quickly, hence the need to move them onto something bigger with a sponge filter.
