Cories Questions

would cories be suitable for my 14 gallon long tank? Other inhabitants would be one betta. If they are suitable what kind would be recommended?

I would suggest a group of the lovely C. sterbai. These fish do well in the warmer temperature range that bettas thrive in.

The tank is too small for regular sized corydora. Stick with the smaller Pygmy varieties. They are cute and will do well in a group of 5.
