Coralline Algae

I was just wondering how long it normally is befor you should start to see signs of coralline algae growth in a tank...
I have recently upgraded and cant remember how long it took to arrive in my last tank.

It really just depends on the quality of the rock, the calcium levels, and probably slightly on the parameters during cycling. I had some on mine after about 2 weeks with about 460 for calcium.

Agree..no good answer on this. If your LR arrives with some on it, it will start encrusting right away with good water parameters. Don't be in such a rush tho..when it takes off, you'll be scraping off that stuff with a chisel and crowbar. SH
