I have always wanted one of these but because I used to run skimmer less I never really wanted to add anything that required extra feeding. Now I have a big old skimmer on the tank though I have left a couple of spots just for sun corals (I want to get the common orange one and the black one ).

One thing people haven't mentioned is how often are they out? do they only come out after lights off and during feeding or do they also come out during the day?

My sisters one comes out in the day on rare occassions but opens up when feeding and when the lights go out

I can only speak from a weeks experience but he comes out a fair bit especially at night time even when light on, its as if he has a body clock for about 9pm. as soon as moon leds come on hes fully out and loking gorgeous
