Coral In My Tanganyikan Tank!

Ok so I am a marine wannabie

That is why I have Cichlids as it is as near as I can get to marine, ie colour and rock interaction without the work/expense.

I saw this artificial coral on eBay and thought what the heck, I already have artificial rock (I'm just a fake deep down!).

Go on, be brutely honest....... ....... or

If you say you like it I'll change my avitar......again

This is one of the few times I think a blue background would look good

I'll just say this though fella...

You wana be careful, I had trouble with a sharp rock in my tank, when they're chasing eachother round as you'll know they make snap decisions as to which rock/hole to fly into, might cause some injuries with coral being so sharp!

Hi and I appreciate your concern/advice The clue is in the description (ie artificial) it's rubber (ahead of you there but you weren't to know )

Also, all the rock is artificial too (due to weight, 3 tanks upstairs ) and is deceivingly smooth so wouldn't even cut angel's wings

i too love the marine look - however i simply do not have the time nor the inclination of maintaining one. I therefore styled a custom built
tank to look marine..ish, heres what i did, albeit on a larger scale.

The tank in that video is awesome!!


I think the rock looks okay, it probably won't contrast some
of the brighter fish as well.
