This is a great fish and looks really great. I really want to get one but can it be kept with cleaner shrimp?? Also any other comments wouldnt go a miss :)

I couldnt agree with you more they are absolutely stunning! I believe they can be monitored with shrimp.

Im thinkin about getting 1 for my dad for his birthday but iv also heard that there really hard to keep so im not sure whether or not 2 get 1 i dont want it dying on me really soon :/

They seem to be slightly less disease resistant and finicky eaters from what I've read. Perhaps live food is the way to go. I've never kept one (although considered it), they are indeed very nice looking fish. :good:

You might want to get some 1st hand info from an owner on the forums, in the meantime here's a helpful link. :) Copperband Butterfly

Will do i was just wondering about the shrimp aswel coz it says that they pick at alot of things and thought it mite harass the cleaner shrimp but apparently not. Its definatly one of the nicest fish going also what type of live food would you say would be good for it??

To the best of my knowledge they dont bother shrimp, but they will pick at coral polyps. So if you're going fish only for sure, you could get one, but if you intend to keep corals, they're a really big risk.

IMO they are in the same catagory as Moorish Idols - Very low survival rate on a home aquarium

They are very difficult to feed with only minor succsess

Personally I would stay away from CB's

Hey guys,

New to the site, i saw this and i just had to post in. I do have one, there not as hard to keep as you think. Just make sure they eat before yo buy them. They are great and a fish I have looked at for hours.
