I have a new 20 gal. with cool water fish: danios, a minnow and a ghost shrimp. Could you guys suggest a few basic plants that go well with cooler water?

I have hornwort growing in my pond, and some elodia. I also have water lettuce floating on top. Valis also do well in cold water, and I have had swords too, but they don't grow much, so I wouldn't say that is doing well. I think there are a lot of plants that will do well in cold water.

I am guessing that the minnow in there is a White cloud mountain minnow which should really be in a group but I am not here to guide people on fish.

The water temp therefore I am assuming is about 22C

Most plants will do well in this temperature, mosses especially.

Take a look at this journal of Liams which is also a low temp tank

This shows what you can do at low temps, but equally you could go with almost any of the plants out there as 22C is still a tropical temperature really.
