Convicts

convicts are new worlds :)

Do you plan to keep anything else with them? or do you wish to breed them?

You could get about 6 of them or so in a 55g seeing as they are not to messy and they dont grow to big.
Convicts breed like rabbits so if you dont want to breed them dont get a female.
Do you know what females look like?

what else are you planning on putting in the tank? imo, convicts are good for breeding for live foods for larger convicts. if you don't plan on using them for this purpose, there are alot more colorful fish. convicts are very prolific breeders, hard to sex at a young age and get quiet aggressive when spawning. is there a certain reason that you wanted to add convicts?

betta lova - going to make you president of my fan club! :p

I agree about the prolific breeders thing, but I think cons are amazing and beautiful fish! They have been my favourite fish since I started with fishkeeping...
It's a pitty that they have hundreds of fry at once instead of 10 or so, I hate feeding little fishies to bigger fishies...

so suppose whatever and all is right, how many would make a merry group? how many males and how females to get em breeding? do thjey also breed in a populated tank like mine?
