Hey guys,
A few weeks ago I put a EBJD in my 37g tank. I'd say he is around 1.75" right now and is with some cory's. I'm gonna be taking down my 37 and getting a 55. Was wondering if I could keep convicts with my JD. Or if anything else would be good with him. Some sort of oddball would be cool. Also a plec or geophagus interests me. I would consider getting a 75g as well, but that would mean quite a bit more money, and I really would rather spend money on my marine tank. Need to keep checking craigslist, my friend got a steal with a 90g w/ stand and top in great condition for $75. Also I think I will run an eheim classic 2217 on this new tank.

Any comments would be great.

a guy on here has geophagus with his ebjd in a 30-40 gallon although presume it'll go in his larger tank when fully grown .

Hey

If you can get a 75G then you will have a lot more options,

In a 55G a JD and a single Convict may work with some small dithers or a pleco, but it depends entirely on the temperaments of the JD and Con when they mature.

If you go for the 55G then I would be looking at smaller cichlid species such as Convicts, Firemouths, Sajica, Honduran Red Points, T.Ellioti, etc.. to go with the JD,

EBJd are meant to be a bit more docile then regular JD's, keep an eye out if you put in a con...my con used to chase my regular jd all the time

also heared they are supposed to be little bit smaller also, i dont quite get how though i mean its like saying an albino oscar is going to different size than a tiger one (same fish different colour so no size difference).. genetics of fish is confusing me:S
