Hello,
My neighbor has two convicts (Bonnie and Clyde) that have cotton mouth. We know how to treat it but the problem is we have eggs that were just laid last evening. We dont want to hurt the eggs, will it effect them??? Could cotton mouth have been caused by stress or bad water quality? Our neighbor is very good with animals and we cant figure out why this would happen to his fish. The only thing I can think of is that Bonnie and Clyde locked lips and the stress promoted the growth of the disease. But it may not be coton mouth at all and none of us have a digital camera or I would post a picture. It looks like white film and it looks like their lips have barbs or like its being eaten, also their mouths are permanently opened. But they dont seem stressed. Im never a fan of seeing an animal suffer even if its not mine.
Thanks for your help!!!!
