I have two angels. I would like to know if I bought a convict which is about 2 inches long, could it live w/ the angels?

And are female convicts less aggressive than males?

I have no experience with Angelfish, so I don't know if they'll be okay but female cons do tend to be less aggressive than the males. I'd say you'd probably be okay with female cons and angelfish.. but don't take my word for it, it's just an assumption..

what else is in the tank?

with angels it should be ok, as i find angels are more middle/top fish where as cons are more bottom/middle.

but the main thing is what else is in the tank?

I don't think they would tbh.If the con takes a liking it could easily kill the angel fish.Although discus angel they may go in different areas of the tank (usually) there is nothing stopping the con moving up a few inches to harass them.

If I provided more hiding places in the tank wouldn't that make it easier as well?

55 gallon

2 angelfish
2 gold killifish
4 cories
1 whiptail catfish
1 clown plec.

I'm going to have to rehouse 5 rosy barbs of course.

Well, o think a lone female con would work. but just watch them. if she gets the arse and starts bullying the angels or any other fish in the tank remove her.
