I think you may be on to something regarding the way it happened... sales might be down right now at their market price, but they might have had a huge amount of spawning and need to sell quick.
 
I wonder what would have happened if you had stayed at 20?  Would the price have been lower?

If I'd still got the Second Chance offer, it would have been, but meh, it's only a couple of quid.
