haha yea i saw those links, i got the idea on the prices and things, it still helped, i really want a salt tank, i just dont think i can do it right now. i think im going to make the cichlid tank and wait to know what im doing a little more. ill post some pics when i get my cichlid tank set up though !

if I were you I'd set the tank up as an african rift and set it up with all argonite (and or dolomite) sand and some reefbones, then buy the filters you will need for SW, than when you feel confident buy some live sand and mix it in with your argonite and toss some live rock in with your reef bones (all after adding salt water) then wait out your cure and cycle periods and get yourself some powerful lights.
