Converting a gerbil cage???

i have just recently found my old gerbil cage and thought it would make a great fry tank!!!So i got it out of the garage to find it all dirtySo how do you go about cleaning this sorta stuff!?

I am a big proponant of cleaning out things of that sort with bleach. Scrub, scrub, scrub. When you're done cleaning, just rinse EXTREMElY well, and use de-chlor.

Since you had gerbils in it at one time, be sure and check to make sure they previous owners didn't chew or scratch up the seal in the corners . I would do a good leak test.
