Considering An African Cichlid Setup

i know exactly what you mean with regards to rushing. im not really satisfied with my 2 main tanks at the moment because i put no thought into the stocking, i just bought what was compatible. gonna take my time over this one :)

someone please show me where it says "stay away from blue mbuna", I'D LOVE TO SEE THIS.

I was just saying in my opinion the more agressive cichlids I have keeped have been blue. Here are some examples:

melanochromis chipokae
Kenyi
demasoni
Johannis
Pseudotropheus Socolofi

For most people the only place to get cichlids is somewhere like petco, and they do not label or have correct info on the fish they carry. And even if they do do the research, do you know how hard it is to tell the difference between species as a begginer, and when the fish are only an inch big? The first time I went in to pick out my fish I picked them out of color (biggest mistake  ) I ended up with a chipokae, damasoni, and some other more colorful fish. Long story short only the damasoni lasted, and I have learned to research, print out pictures ect.

 Demasoni and Chipokae are pretty much the 2 most aggressive Mbuna you can buy but also 2 of the most stunning, you're not the 1st to fall into that trap and you won't be the last. :hyper:
