Considering A Salt Water Tank

it is, i was thinking of using my tetratec 1200 external with some live rock etc, could also put the rowaphos in there?

i want to loose the filter that is in the tank itself.

i am also however hunting ebay etc to see if i can find a tank with sump, live rock etc for my budget, but i will more than likely stick to the tank i have..

i have decided that i want a good reef tank, with plenty of corals etc. im not going to be putting to many fish in,so i will have to upgrade my lighting as its only t8

hopefully ones that are ideal for beginners,

now i do not know the names for them Seffie so please be kind.

i like

hammer corals
sun corals
pulsing xenia
mushrooms

and any others that a bright and flow with the water

All a very good choice except the sun coral - get that last, then you will be more confident about feeding etc. not that they are hard to feed, they just require target feeding :good:

And you have chosen my favourite coral - Euphyllia Ancora :p Hammer

i think they are one of the best looking corals i have ever seen.

i really need to start buying some bits now, especially lighting, can you recommend anything/ sites?

well thanks for all the help seffie but for now it looks like tropical is the answer for me.

I dont think the wife would cope with the salt water fishif i go to iraq next year

That sounds like a challenge for us all then - come on everyone, lets find a decent full set-up for one of our brave lads :good:
