Congo Tetras Fin Nipping

Hi all,

I have currently got some guppies in my tank and tonight one has been extensively fin nipped by my congo tetra. Is this normal as I have not seen them do this before?


I have some blue gourami in there as well and would expect this from them, but not the tetra.

how many congo tetras do you have? if the tank is large enough, you should have a group of congos, as being in a group makes fin nipping less of a problem.

I have 6 in a 200L tank along with 2 blu gourami, 5 mickey mouse platys, common plec, 2 hoplo catfish and 3 dwarf honey gouramis.
