Hi,
I wander if any one can help. I have a 50 gallon tank and all my fish are slowly dying. Water parameters are good and tank is stable. I was wandering whether using a uv filter has destroyed the immunity of the fish and when i introduced a new fish some diseases may have spread. I am fed up as i am so careful with water testing and changing water etc. If my stock is wiped out how should i proceed with cleaning the tank etc. is it a complete change plants includedm, as this has costed a lot of money
The fish contained gouramis, neon, rasboras, angels. Black tipped tetras.
thanks

im sure ive read angels and gouramis are not a good mix :/ for us to help can you answer a few questions please so we can get a better picture, what type of gourami do you have? how many of each fish do you have, could it be they are attacking and killing each other? also you say your tank and water is stable, stable at what, can you give actual readings? is your tank cycled?

How are they slowly dying?
Hi there,
The gouramis have now died. They developed nasty white ulcers all over their body
The rest of the fish just stop eating, then become very still and die over a few days with no signs of any marks etc. I have watched the tank at night with lights out and all seems okay.
My water is
0 ammonia
0 nitites
10 nitrates
PH 7.2
My big angel has died. All of my rasboras have died. I really dont know whats happened. The tank is 1 yr old.
I have turned off my UV filer and i am treating with milofix (the natural product in blue bottle)

It seems like everything should be perfect. Im so sorry you are going thru this :(. Have you added any non-aquarium specific decorations or anything recently? Could something have fallen in? When was the last time you had introduced new fish and what were they and how many?

Thanks for kind words. The only thing i can think of is i introduced 2 angels just before all problems started. At the moment those 2 angels are fine and my tetras (black finned) are also happy. I really would like to keep discuss but think i need to wait a bit.

The only thing I can think of is to do a largish water change and add Stress Coat or something like that.

I've started a regime of doing 15-20% daily water changes and decreased feeding when my fish look stressed, and it appears to help. So I guess you could what I suggested above or what I'm doing now.

is there a chance any fumes from something got in, air sprays ect, i once had a visiting child who 'fed' my fish when i wasnt looking, (the parent thought it was fine  ) is it possible this could have happened?
