What brand of conditioner should I be using for my tank? and what type?

Stress coat and stress Zyme

i personally prefer stress coat. i've tried tetra aquaclear or something like that, but have found it didn't treat the water here quite well enough.

look for one that takes care of chlorine and chloramines (not sure if spelled those right, but you get the idea).

I use Hagen Aqua Plus, it's cheaper than stress coat and does the same job if you want it to.

Stress Coat. I dont use Stress Zyme, I always thought that was one of those starter bacteria things.

Stress coat, 1 teaspoon treats 10 US gallons so even with 11 tanks to take care of a 16 fl oz bottle lasts a few weeks. Stress zyme is one of those useless bottled bacteria products.

i agree with cheese, hagen aqua plus works just aswell and is cheaper!!

I use Waterlife Haloex, that is, if we're talking about the same things. I used it when I first started with tropicals years ago and it kinda stuck.

yah me too but now i use RO water and it's doing wonders for my tank.

hagen aqua plus also dose the same as stress coat and more.
