Conditioners And Meds

hi
i like pimafix & melafix, waterlifes protozin for the one outbreak of ich we've had. ive also had good results with waterlifes myaxin for mouth infection (columnaris). i also use flourish excel carbon for our plants & around every couple of months i use waterlifes paragon (reduces parasite load in tank apparently). ive used esha 2000 in the past with good results( for fungus) & interpets antifungus & finrot but found that our tiger barbs were very sensitive & also our loaches did not look happy with it in the water (even with 1/2 the dose) - i ended up doing loads of small water changes to get rid of it. ive also used interpets anti internal bacteria but it didnt seem to help but then the fish was suffering from dropsy at the time
i use tapsafe for chlorine/chloramine etc remover with water changes.

I found that the interpet internal bacteria did not agree with some of my fish, im also finding that it does not work one bit. I find that the white spot treatment works and thats about the only one.

Just ordered some Melafix :good:

I don't use any as of last week. I learnt that aquasafe and AquaPlus 'bind' the metal elements I am trying to get into the tank for my plants. thus cancelling my fertiliser.

Instead of Melafix I use 500ml seionised water mixed with 10ml tea tree oil.

For dechlorinators I first used the Interpet brand, then Tetra Aquasafe, but found I couldn't afford either of them as my number of tanks expanded, so am now using Stresscoat. have never had a problem with any dechlorinator and my fish certainly seem energetic enough.

For medicine, not had much illness, but have tried Interpet anti-bacterial (helped a couple of times, but at other times fish was too far gone) and Pimafix/Melafix (same results).

Do you have good results with this method? Personaly i think 10ml of tea tree oils is quite strong.
How long have you been using it for?
What is seionised water? ive heard of deionised water before

Thanks
