The Computer Zone section has been covering game systems (Wii, PS3, XBOX), cellphones, and MP3 players... which I do like. :good:

But is "Computer Zone" an accurate name or should it be renamed to "Electronics" or something similar? Or does "Computer Zone" reflect electronics in general to everyone here well? Just a thought.

All computers are electronics but not all electronics are computers ;)

all games consoles are computers, just they are limited in what programs they run,
as are calculators mobile (cell) phone, mp3 players ipods etc

Ahhh, so then no threads are allowed to discuss antique radios or electronic circuit theory?

Computers have power supplies, which have transistors, capacitors, resistors, and other such goodies. Transistors are an improvement on tubes, chips are miniaturized circuit boards, an improvement on individual transistors and such.

Computers work on binary, where 0 represents off, or open, and 1 represents on, or closed. So in theory we could discuss a single pole singe throw switch in that section, if you really want to get to basics.
