OK so I was selling some BUT this is still not fair, even if it IS karma

A couple a weeks back, I lost a white BF VT after having him 2 days, a few days later his mate followed (cello VT), then I lost both my Thai import CT's (one in the week, one yesterday), my pineapple combtail yesterday and today my MG comb. Because of all the upset I ordered myself 2 juvies yesterday as I was feeling incredibly empty. They were sent on special saturday delivery and they haven't showed up, tis now almost 3.30pm. So I guess I've lost them too.

The other guy I had on Ebay was up to £14.50 but I've cancelled the bids and will be keeping him.

To say GUTTED is an understatement.

So sorry about all your losses, were there no outward signs that anything was wrong with them like -

loss of appetite
stringy poo
lethargy
any marks on their body

Seems so strange to lose them like that in such a short time

As for the fish that didn't turn up today, they should be OK as long as they are in a reasonably warm room and you don't get any heavy frosts, they may be cold and take time to aclimatize but don't give up hope on them. :flowers:

All that was noted was just a sudden loss in energy, then one of them was laying on its side, I fasted that one but it died anyway. There was nothing obvious, 2 of them were from the same barracks but the third one in those barracks is a picture of health, absolutely radiant and full of energy. I can't explain

The other 2 in the post have not turned up today so they will be in transit until Monday - will they be ok?

Fingers crossed that the temp in your area doesn't drop too much and that they have a reasonable packing and have 30/40 hour heatpack and they should be reasonably OK, it is amazing how hardy they can be.

Sounds like there may have been a virus in your tanks that came in with a fish or some sort of water contaminent, I know of someone on another forum who has lost the majority of his females from one tank and is gutted but can't understand what happened cause all the other fish in the same tank are OK.

oh hun i'm so so sorry. Please don't blame youself, this was nothing to do with any ill treatment or lack of care on your part, i know how you care and love your fish.

big BIG hugs hun

arh mel , so sorry to hear that you lost so many, chin up, :good:

on another note, why on earth did the seller send for a saturday delivery? thats one thing i would never dream of, i dont even ship for friday deliveries now b/c of delays happened to often at the end of the week. hoping they are ok though depending on the heat pack and where they are stored. fingers crossed.

Well as posted on other thread, the boys turned up today fine. And Leroy, the CT boy you gave me has built me a huooooooge nest overnight, so this morning I am a happier Mel x
