Compatibility Question...

Is an angelfish out because of the fin nippage of Barbs? Do they work in a tank (75g) together?

In my experience it depends on what type of barbs, tiger barbs are the worst for nipping fins, especially those off an angel fish which to them are just asking to be nipped.. other types such as cherry barbs were fine with mine..

Odessa barbs will pester and nip angels if they get the chance similar to tiger barbs. Cherry barbs are only really aggressive to smaller fish like tetras.

I found plenty of reviews of odessa barbs being relatively peaceful but at the same time they are barbs. I reckon in a 75g with a decent sized shoal so they can bicker amongst themselves that it is worth a try. Particulatly if you have a seperate tank you might be able to use to split them up.
