i was wondering if i could put my clown loaches in my cichlid tank all the cichlids are smaller right now. I also have a lot of places for all of them to go and have a underground tunnel. Thats under my sand. Which goes under all of the tank and they can hide in there and go in different spots under the sand.

WOW I wish that was my tank, sounds amazing! Clown loaches can grow fairly big and they like to school. What size of tank is it and what kind of cichlids?

Rift Valley cichlids? Bad idea, I'm afraid. :/ The Rift Valley cichlids need hard water with a high pH while the clown loaches need soft with a sligthly acidic pH.

Yup, both Malawian and Tanganyikan cichlids are referred to as Rift Valley cichlids.

cause they where in a tank together when i first got him so i thought i could. What cichlids could i put him with?

Well, they really shouldn't have been together in the first place. It would be a good idea to have your water tested to see which fish can go in it.

Malawi cichlids can be kept with other Malawi cichlids, as far as I know. I'm no expert on those though. You might want to ask that question in the African Cichlids forum.
