Hi All,

I have been browsing for sometime now and decided to sign up today, so Hello everyone!

I just have a quick question for my modest 75L Tank, Can a siomise fighting fish live happliy with a german blue rams?

All advice appreciated.

it depends on both the Ram and the Fighter AKA Betta, i have a very laid back ram (he can be hand fed) in my 30 Gal along with a short finned male betta, but they are both very laid back

So i guess its a case of luck getting a nice calm laid back GBR and BETTA?!

Hand fed, i bet that is really kool to see!!

Oh sorry i forgot to ask, does one need to go in before the other or can they be introduced at the same time?

I have a female GBR with my female bettas and they only time there is a squable is when I feed since everyone is trying to get as much as they can lol other then that I haven't seen any fighting since everyone knows their territory and I have introduced them after a complete change in the tank and they were fine so should be fine, should be but not 100% sure it will always work lol.

I hand feed all my fish but it it so they know when my hand goes in the tank nothing bad will happen

Nearly all fish will eat out of your hand if you want them to. Once they've settled in, just hold the flake or whatever just under the water surface; they'll soon learn to come up and take it from you.
