My Pleco have for the past two weeks had something that looks like a zit on the nose.
As you can see on the image, it is white-ish.

I've spoken with the shop that sold me the pleco and they had never heard of or seen anything like it.

After the arrival of the "zit", my pleco started swimming nose-first on the glass of the aquarium.
This condition have not affected any of the other fish that i have in there.

Just yesterday morning, it appeared as if the pleco had managed to "pop the zit", as it would look like there was a tear on the base of the zit.
It has been calmer now, but it now have a bigger white spot on the nose where the "zit" was, and the area now looks like a small pit, instead of a lump.

The current theory is that the pleco have somehow scraped its nose on something that then got infected.

Anyone with a better idea?

maybe it has just swam into the glass and took a bit of skin of hope he gets better

I also hope that my pleco will heal, but in that case, would it be normal for the nose part to develop as you can see on this image?

There is no longer any sign of the "pimple" or "zit", but now the white patch that appeared after the pleco seemed to have "popped the zit" a few hours before the first image in my post.

Would this be consistant with a skin damage, wwhere there is dead skin on the nose?

im not actually sure what it is now mate i didnt notice it went up in a point

looks like hes scraped his nose some how are there any scratches on the glass (inside tank) as this could have caused this

i found out recently fish can easily bash themsleves up on tank decor. ive got an angel, and recently i was cleaning the tank and startled him, and he shot off squeezing through a gap past some ocean rock, and scratched himself all down his side on the rough rock. if something has spooked your plec and hes darted off, he may have hit something, possibly even just blunt impact into the glass.

I would use some sort of anti-fungal treatment.
Just in case something else nasty developes on the wound.
